OIT has announced that they will perform maintenance on the OIT Passport system on Saturday, May 16, 2009, from 6:00 AM to 12:00PM. Passport users will be affected by this maintenance. For fulldetails,please see the message below.

WHATIS HAPPENING?

OITwill perform an update on the Passport system (the GT Account Self ServicePortal ? https://passport.gatech.edu). The update has many features:

·bull; Passwordexpiration extended from 90 to 120 days

·bull; Abilityto set published email via Passport

·bull; Abilityto confirm GTENS and published email

·bull; Eliminatethe need to sync GT Account and GTActive Directory passwords

WHOIS AFFECTED BY THIS INTERRUPTION?

AllPassport system (https://passport.gatech.edu)customers. During this outage, customers will not beable to access the system to reset passwords, activate an account, or otherwisechange their account information. However, login to other systems using the GT Account and password willnot be affected.

Saturday,May 16, 2008 from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon

WHATDO YOU NEED TO DO WHEN THE SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE AGAIN?

Businessas usual. No action is necessary. If you want to check your new expirationtime, login to https://passport.gatech.edu and click the Information link inthe Passwords section. Be aware thatyour current number of days in your expiration cycle is still in play. So you will not receive an extra 120 days inthis first cycle; rather, your current usage will be deducted from the120. So if are 45 days in the cycle,then deduct 45 from 120, and you will have 75 days remaining.

HOWDOES THIS ACTIVITY BENEFIT YOU?

Thisupgrade has these benefits:

·bull; You will only have to change your GT accountpassword 3 times per year instead of 4,

·bull; Customers will have the ability to completecommon tasks previously performed by the CSRs or Technology Support Center.
