The College of Computing is no longer using BDI for printer maintenance and toner. If you need assistance with your printer or toner, please contact the TSO Help Desk (CCB 148, 404-894-7065, helpdesk@cc.gatech.edu). Thank you.

Update: Our contract with BDI has been extended. Please feel free to resume contacting them for assistance with printers.

Update: As of August 28, 2008, we are in the process of implementing a new printer service which will replace our current service with Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI). Over the next several days, a representative from Metro Laser Company will be installing call boxes on each printer.

One of the main reasons the College chose Metro Laser Company to provide printing services is because of its proactive toner replacement. When a managed printer is running low on toner, the call box sends a remote signal notification to Metro Laser. In addition, each call box features a ?red call button? for the user to press to notify Metro Laser regarding maintenance issues. After notification, Metro Laser will call the printer's designated owner or the TSO Help Desk if the owner can't be reached to schedule an on-site visit. A label with Metro Laser?s phone number and printer ID is also placed on each printer for the user to contact them directly.
