TSO has installed Sun Ray Server Software on the Killerbee Remote Access Linux cluster which enables thin-client access to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 for basic desktop computing such as shell access, e-mail, web browsing, OpenOffice, etc. However, the Killerbee cluster is not a suitable resource for computational needs. These Sun Ray Thin Clients may be useful for general purpose desktops when there are no available research funds to provide desktops for a student in your lab. If you are interested in beta testing a Sun Ray thin client desktop in your lab, contact the TSO Help Desk or the Research Technologist in your research area.
