RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
The Instructional Team has submitted a record-breaking $5 million in Tech Fee proposals for FY2027. You can learn more about the TechFee process here - https://support.cc.gatech.edu/resources/technology-fees
The Research team focused on strategic work that is often difficult to execute during the academic term, including server patching and maintenance, Operating System reloads and upgrades, physical datacenter moves to accommodate growth, and bolstering overall research infrastructure readiness for the Spring semester. As the Spring semester kicks off, the team priority is to take action on systems running End-of-Life Operating Systems, such as Ubuntu 20 LTS and RHEL 7.
The Web team created the CoC Position Request online form for the HR team.
The Help Desk team worked with OIT to secure CrashPlan backup licenses for an additional year while CoC and OIT collaborate with the new backup software vendor, Metallic, to conduct further testing and troubleshooting.
The Infrastructure team prepared for the campus chilled water maintenance window, allowing the College’s computing infrastructure to remain active during the cooling outage.
The Security team completed a general IT controls audit with the Georgia Tech Internal Audit team in December. The audit resulted in a single moderate finding, which is on track to be fully remediated by the end of the fiscal year.
