This includes Graduate Research Assistants or other student workers that have been issued Georgia Tech-owned equipment.

RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Our friends in SCP will already be aware, but this month saw the publishing of not one but two major Linux vulnerabilities - Copy Fail and Dirty Frag. TSO performed emergency patching and other security mitigations, ensuring the College’s Linux endpoints remained secure. The mitigation was performed quickly, with no reported exploitations within the College of Computing.
- Members across TSO attended the Red Hat Summit this week, which was held here in the Atlanta area this year. This year's event emphasized AI - its capabilities, challenges, and impact on computing.
- With finals over and grades submitted, the Instruction Support team has begun patching in earnest to prepare for the upcoming Summer semester. Most patching and maintenance is performed in these small gaps between semesters to minimize the impact on any student coursework.
- The OIT Cybersecurity department and distributed campus IT partners have initiated Phase II of the Computer Security Standard (CSS). The Help Desk has been working with other campus stakeholders on finding solutions that minimize impact to our users and their work and research.
TSO TID BITS:
TSO was excited to see Philip Cochran awarded the Outstanding Staff Impact Award. Philip has been a member of both the Help Desk and now the Instructional Support Team. Congratulations!
