Some LAWN users have been experiencing delays reaching and using the LAWN login page.

Since approximately 10:20 AM, Monday, November 30, 2009.
WHY DID IT HAPPEN?
OIT are actively looking into this.
WHO WAS AFFECTED?
All GTwireless users. GTwpa and users who logged in earlier in the day should not be experiencing any issues.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
Users may continue to try to authenticate to LAWN or may switch to GTwpa. When the system is available again, GTwireless users may experience a slow response from the login page because of the heavy load associated with all users authenticating simultaneously.
HAS THE PROBLEM BEEN RESOLVED?
No. OIT are looking into this and hope to have a resolution shortly.

UPDATE: OIT made changes at approximately 3:30 PM, Tuesday, December1, 2009, that appear to have solved the root cause of the problem. Theweb server and database server have performed without incident sincethe changes were made, and the heavy login/logoutload associated with the busiest part of the day on December 2 had noimpact on any LAWN systems.
