TECHNICAL DETAILSABOUT THIS SCHEDULED SERVICE INTERRUPTION
The Cisco AP1142 802.11n access points, which will beinstalled in some buildings this summer, require controller software version5.2. On 06/20/09, we upgraded to version4.2.176.0, which is a required intermediate step to version 5.2. We now need to perform the upgrade to 5.2. Each upgrade takes a couple of hours becausethere are 20 wireless controllers and over 2,000 wireless access points thateach have to download new code and reboot. Thus, we need to proceed with doing the upgrade during the Julymaintenance window in order to get the upgrade complete
